Commercial Editing

Project Overview:
I edited a short commercial using raw footage provided by EditStock, crafting a humorous and script-accurate final cut that mimicked the real-world process of commercial post-production. The project required sorting through multiple takes, camera angles, and audio clips to construct a cohesive, polished, and entertaining ad.

Objectives and Strategy:
With only a line script and raw dailies to work from, my goal was to make strong editorial decisions that enhanced comedic timing, ensured continuity, and delivered a clear message. I refined the project with detailed sound design, added custom sound effects, applied LUTs for consistent color grading, and mixed everything for a broadcast-ready finish.

  • My Role: Editor, colorist, and sound designer

  • Tools Used: Final Cut Pro

  • Footage Source: EditStock

  • Scope of Work: Editing, shot selection, sound effects, sound design, music, and color grading (LUTs)

It was a standout piece that demonstrated my technical and narrative skills in commercial post-production.
